Frank C. Smith Jr. (Buggs) was born in Sandusky, Ohio at Providence Hospital on Monday, December 13, 1948 at 11:35am. He suffered with many health issues, but COPD was his main issue and he ended this suffering on April 13, 2019 at 7:36pm.
His mother, Leonore Madeline Smith also born in Ohio on February 17, 1928; passed in 2008, maiden name Harrington. His father, Frank Charles Smith Sr. was born in West Virginia on January 19, 1924; passed in 2007. He had 3 sisters and 4 brothers; Nancy S. Shaupert (Deceased), Jackie S. Jenney, Jean M. Maynard. Brothers; Donald Smith, John A. Smith, David J. Smith, Tim E. Smith (Deceased). He has two children a son; Zachari L. Smith 39 yrs. old and a daughter Amber S. Hansberry 35 yrs. old. He has five beautiful grandchildren; Jennica L. Hansberry-14 yrs., Hailey M. Hansberry 9 yrs.,, Zandra Hanna L. Smith 12yrs., Leon Charles Smith 10yrs., Nicholas Paul Smith 8yrs. Former wife and life friend, Mary E. Smith.
Frank served in the Army from February 21, 1966 - December 30, 1968. He was stationed at Ft. Dixon N.J. then sent to Germany. While in the service he received the National Defense Service Metal; for active duty during a declared 'national emergency'. His occupations were an auto mechanic, carpenter, and fisherman. He loved astronomy. He would always ask a person 'What's your sign.' He loved to fish, party and spend time with good friends and family! He was a very blunt person, you had to learn how to except his personality but when you did; you fell in love with him and learned to give it right back! He loved his grandchildren and kids very much! He was a knowledgeable man, loved to teach his grandchildren about what he knew and others that were willing to learn. His goal in life was to pass on wisdom to others. He loved and raised dogs all his life. He loved music and to dance, movie night with his family and loved to read! He was the kind of person that would literally give you the shirt off his back. He was an opinionated realistic man. He will be missed and loved by many!
