Our mission
A special wish foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to granting the wishes of children between birth up to 21 years of age who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
Facts about a special wish foundation – Ohio valley chapter (ASWOV)
The Ohio valley chapter of a special wish (ASWOV) was founded in 1992 by dr. John Mattox. ASWOV covers Belmont, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson and Monroe counties in Ohio and Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, and Ohio counties in West Virginia. ASWOV offers their services to all qualifying children, and does not discriminate based on race, gender, nationality, or ethnicity. All wishes granted by ASWOV are to local children in the Ohio Valley. All money raised by and/or donated to ASWOV stays local.
