It is with deep sorrow that I relay this message about my love, Alfred, of  30 years. Three weeks ago I never thought I would utter these words.  Alfred was diagnosed with metastatic disease in his abdomen on March 31, 2022 and was admitted to Christiana hospital on April 1st. He was 68 years old and went into rapid liver failure as a result of the metastatic disease. He passed on the morning of April 7th.

He was my significant other, my partner in this lifetime, my soulmate. He loved all sports, but none better than the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved vacations in Cape May, having a party with friends and family .  Since his retirement, he has had a “new” love and that is his dog, Raven, who visited him at his bedside in the hospital this past week. If you were loved by Alfred, you were protected and had a feeling of security and care like no other. He had a loving heart and a quietly powerful energy that supported any and all of the people he loved.

Alfred was the executive chef at the Kennett Square Inn for decades. He retired from the Inn in 2019 and because Alfred always said that he would live 'til he was 93, he had not yet saved money for his final expenses.  I am hoping to help ease the burden of funeral expenses for our family and loved ones during this unexpected crisis.
