Memorial Donations will go to Altercare Country Lawn Nurse Scholarship Fund

Bonnie was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy and Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing, working as a registered nurse in the operating room and later her husband’s office. She was an active member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville. She enjoyed the company of a good book, her many friends while volunteering at church and her weekly fitness classes.  She loved family vacations, especially to Hilton Head.

The family of Bonnie Vazquez would like memorial contributions to benefit the Altercare Country Lawn Nurse Scholarship Fund. Bonnie's family was so impressed with the compassion and care that was given to her during her stay at Altercare Country Lawn that they would like to use the money donated to this fund to go to a scholarship for a nurse aid or employee who would like to further their education by entering nursing school. Bonnie was passionate about her nursing career and the family would like to give other future nurses the chance to follow in Bonnie's footsteps.

Altercare has provided families with high quality short-term rehabilitation, long-term nursing care, memory care and senior living with compassion and respect.
