On April 21, 2017 we lost a great woman, Cathy Christman. She wasn't just a friend or a Mother, she was an angel from Heaven. From an early age my Mother had many disadvantages. She was often hungry growing up. And most times, she did not know when she would enjoy her next meal. When she was 16 she was diagnosed with scoliosis of the spine and spent a year in a full body cast. She was ridiculed but always kept her sunny disposition. I remember her saying that the 'happiest time in her life' was when she married my dad, Bennie, and when my brother, Ryan & I were born.

She has been through so much in her life. Whether it was her father leaving at age 5 or being diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, she always kept a positive attitude. Unfortunately, my Mother was not allowed to work. In addition, she had no life insurance and was confined to government funded Medicaid. Subsequently, she lived a very basic lifestyle. She gave when she could and suffered in silence. 

I'm asking all of you, today, to donate whatever you can toward the price of her cremation. Every little bit helps. Benevolence is a wonderful thing and we appreciate your attention and however much you can spare for these expenses.
