Alton was very supportive of the Scotland Neck and Hobgood communities. What better way to honor his memory than to donate to Sylvan Heights Bird Park. An outstanding educational landmark in this area.
Sylvan Heights houses more than 3,000 birds representing 140 species, and plays a key role in maintaining the captive populations of several endangered waterfowl species. It has the largest collection of exotic and rare waterfowl in the world. A donation to Sylvan Heights will honor Alton's memory and help a local Scotland Neck organizaiton.
