Annabelle was a beautiful and loving Anatolian Shepherd who enjoyed a loving family and home while she fulfilled her instinctive needs as a herding guard dog on the family farm. Jayme and Laura Martyns-Deutsch recognized and appreciated the canine spirit of their beloved dog and knew that as she grew older she would require extra care, love and attention. Sadly, Annabelle unexpectedly passed away at the young age of five-years-old.

In Annabelle's memory, her family has asked that you consider making a donation to Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary ' 'a place where Love Never Grows Old'. We have all known situations where an older pet loses an owner during the senior years of the animal's life. Shelters are overwhelmed with younger, more adoptable dogs who will hopefully find forever homes. County animal control shelters are overcrowded leaving amazing lovable older dogs to face euthanasia.

These are frequently dogs who have known love and they cannot comprehend why they are now displaced with little-to-no hope of compassionate care.
