Gene was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in both World War II and later a second enlistment in the Korean War.
He remembered and honored his service and sacrifice by volunteering for the Veterans of Foreign Wars and other veterans organizations so his wish was for contributions to be made so the work they do can continue.
