Walter M. Raske, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was a WWII, U.S. Army Air Forces Veteran. Walter will be interred at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.

The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies began burial of veterans in August of 2005, with a formal dedication made in October 2005. The Cemetery is over 292-acres and serves the more than 323,000 veterans living in western Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas. Every year, multiple events are held, including Memorial Day Ceremony, Veteran's Day Ceremony, and the Wreaths Across America Ceremony, every year. The cemetery provides a memorial section in instances where there are no remains present.
