The family would like to honor the memory of Thomas Knorr with memorial contributions made to The Good Shepherd Staff Appreciation Fund. Good Shepherd Nursing Home provides skilled nursing care around the clock for up to 192 residents. They are the largest non-profit facility in West Virginia and have a philosophy of treating residents with compassion, respect and the overall well-being.

The staff at Good Shepherd works closely with physicians and offers physical, speech and occupational therapy to residents, and social workers who work closely with the families regarding financial counseling, adjustment and daily matters.

Dr. Thomas Knorr, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at Liza's Place surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janell (Sweeney) Knorr; daughters, Mary (Rich) Nelson of RI, and Margaret (Bill) Cruse of WV; sons, Christopher Knorr of CA, and Michael Knorr of WV; daughter-in-law, Michelle Baltz-Knorr of IN; brother, William Knorr of IN; and grandchildren, Matthew Cruse, Lisa (Tyler) Pauly, Rob Nelson, Kathleen Nelson, Caleb Knorr and Caleb's mother, Jody and sister, Caitlin.
