Carl "Dean" Heath, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 10, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, cherished memories, and a deep love for his family. Born to Wanda Lee Heath and Clarence Edward Heath, Dean grew into a remarkable individual who touched the lives of those around him.

After graduating from James Blair High School, Dean embarked on a fulfilling career as a self-employed marine mechanic. His expertise and dedication made him a trusted figure in his field, and he took great pride in the work he accomplished.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dean was a man of many passions. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, often spending his free time fishing, camping, and hunting. The melodies of music brought him comfort, and he delighted in sharing his favorite tunes with loved ones. Dean had a talent for outdoor cooking, bringing friends and family together over delicious meals. His infectious laughter and knack for telling jokes warmed the hearts of all who knew him.

Dean will be deeply missed by his daughter, Jacquelyn Heath; sister of Jacquelyn, Katlyn Brumfield; mother of Jacquelyn, Frankie Brumfield; daughter-in-law, Michelle Gonsalves; siblings: Larry (Ann) Heath and Evelyn (Gary) Griffith; his nieces and nephews: Gary Griffith, Clint Griffith, Shelly Breitbeil, and Kris Heath.

Services to honor and celebrate Dean's life will be held at Bucktrout Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A graveside ceremony will follow on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Williamsburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dean's name to Rescue Evangelical Friends Church.
