On May 14, 2022, Charlotte married the love of her life, Alva Leo Harris Jr.
Forever cherishing their memories of Charlotte are her husband, Alva of Jane Lew; one daughter, Sarah Bennett and husband, Joshua, of Buckhannon; nine grandchildren: Dustan Calissie, Montana Maxwell, Eleesia Taylor, Victoria Frazee, Eden and Eli Casto, and Parker, Gabe, and Connor Bennett; three great-grandchildren: Leo, Kohan, and Temari; one step daughter, DesaRae Hammond and husband, Rich, of Jane Lew; three sisters: Connie Heater, and Alicia Willett and husband, Kenny, both of Buckhannon, and Glenda Eckes and husband, Herb, of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Buckhannon, Charlotte graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1983. Her dedication to service was evident in her professional life. She was a former administration employee of St. Joseph Hospital in Buckhannon, where she provided a comforting presence for patients and staff alike. Her commitment extended beyond her professional life, as she became a homemaker and an advocate for Women's Aid in Crisis. Charlotte passionately championed for those in need, embodying the scripture from the book of Proverbs 31:20, "She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy."
Charlotte's love for music and her faith intertwined beautifully in her role as a praise and worship leader at Cross Heirs Pentecostal Church in Bridgeport. Whether singing or playing the piano, her talent was a testament to her faith and a source of joy for all who heard her. Charlotte's commitment to her faith was unwavering and served as an inspiration to many.
