Deborah Sue Broski, 72 of Shadyside, Ohio died unexpectedly on January 28, 2020.
She was born September 30, 1947, a daughter of the late Eugene and Dora (Ullum) Allietta in Wheeling, WV.
Deborah was a grandmother of 4 and a Catholic by faith.
She was the former president of Bridgeport Construction where she led the construction of many state bridges throughout Ohio and also reconditioning and preservation of many historic covered bridges around the Ohio valley, which, for a female that is a GREAT accomplishment.
Deborah was the owner/ operator of the Dora M. Allietta Memorial Home which she and her husband Mel founded in memory of her late mother Dora Allietta, who was a resident of the home When she passed.
The care facility was owned by Naomi Williams at that time and was then bought by the Broski’s and remodeled to be created the Dora M. Alllietta Memorial Home, in memory of Deborah's mother.
It soon became the home that housed 15 elderly residents and everyone that needed the loving care that they deserved.
In 2001 Deborah lost her husband Mel to unexpected death from an aneurysm.
As if that wasn’t enough, shortly after the death of her husband her home became engulfed in an enormous fire that nearly took her life had she not of put her arms in front of her face and bust out the front door running thru the blaze to a nearby neighbor.
Deborah was life-flighted to Pittsburg where she was given 48 hours to live or less.
Deborah was so strong for her son and grandson, that she fought the burns, the coma, and after months of rehabilitation, she walked out on her own two feet and led a happy life for the next 20 years.
Due to the tragedies of losing her husband and near-death experience with a house fire, things slowly spiraled in a downward motion causing her and I to lose our care facility and family-owned construction co.
Being tough times she lost any life insurance and coverages she may have had to cover expenses such as the one we are faced with now “funeral costs and debts left behind” it is at this time I ask for friends and loved one to help if you can, for the last thing one needs to worry about at this time is how will I pay for these things.
Thank you all for your support.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, her second husband Melvin Broski and a brother Phillip Allietta.
Deborah is survived by her son Roger (Abby Ruggiero) Woods of Bellaire, Ohio, her former husband Roger Woods and her close friend Pam Bennett.
In addition, she is survived by her four grandchildren, Tyler Darrah, Mialyn Marie Dunn, Miracle Lynn Ruggiero, and Kashtyn Allen Joseph Woods.
