For the Family of Oksana Paschenko
Fund Type: Family SupportWilliamsburg, VA
Fundraiser ends on August 15, 2020
Oksana Paschenko, 42, was released to the heavens on June 27, 2020, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Many of you knew Oksana and how brave she was during her diagnosis and treatments and you how much she will be missed by those who loved her best. Oksana was born and raised in Pyshkivtsi, western Ukraine; however, Oksana and her husband Serhiy have called Williamsburg, VA, home since 2006. After finding a passion for helping and serving other people, Oksana was able to start a successful career in the restaurant industry where she has been a recognizable and loved figure among employees and patrons. Losing Oksana will no doubt be a difficult time for those who came to know her gentle nature and glowing eyes.
Oksana will be remembered for a genuinely strong spirit and a warm heart. More than anything, she will be remembered for her devotion to her daughter Yulia (14) and son Roman (18), and for the love she and her husband Serhiy shared for over 20 years. There will be so many milestones that her children will now face without Oksana to comfort, support, and care for them. It is heartbreaking to think of them growing up with Oksana by their side.
Oksana's life will be celebrated her in a private local ceremony on June 30, 2020, but her family's wish is make sure that she returns to her native soil. The family intends to lay Oksana to rest in her native town in Ukraine. Her her children, mother, sister, and other family members are beginning now to prepare for Oksana's last homecoming. The family is asking for the community's support in ensuring that Oksana can make that trip and so that other family members can accompany her. Additionally, the family needs assistance with medical bills and other costs associated with the hardship of her death. Oksana gave so much to her community in Williamsburg and we hope to be able to give back to her family with our gratitude. All donations in her memory are greatly appreciated.
