Funeral Services for Wanda Butler

Wanda Jeanette Butler, age 62 of Wilmington passed away on Saturday February 11th, 2023 in her home on Lake Avenue.

Wanda was born in Wilmington to the late Billy Ray Ganey and the late Jeanette Cumber on December 07, 1960. After the passing of her father, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, the late Bobby “Fuzzy” Cumber, Sr.

Wanda was happily married to the late Rev. John R. Butler, Sr. for several years and never remarried.

She is survived by her four sons, John R. Butler, Jr. (Sherry Butler), Billy K. Carr, and the twins Jesse & Jason Carr; Six grandchildren, Taylor, Harley, Faith, Lila, Aiden, and Sophia; Two Great-Grandchildren; Two Brothers, Bobby Cumber, Jr. & Keith Cumber; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, 1 granddaughter, Charity Jonae Butler, Her Sister, Darlene Brock; and her former husband.

Wanda was an amazing mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family above all else.
