The family of Hughey Miller Scott has encountered a financial challenge with his sudden and untimely passing. Any assistance you may offer at this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.

Hughey Miller Scott, age 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12th 2019, in Kenansville, NC.

Hughey was born in Scotland County on June 1st 1949 to Cole F. and Ethel Scott. Hughey grew up with two brothers , Bobbie Scott (survived) Cole F. Scott Junior (deceased) and a sister Patsy Scott (deceased). 

Hughey worked for Ronco for twelve years as a mobile home transporter. On the side, he would follow his passion and do mechanical work on cars and heavy machinery. 

On June 1st 1974 he married the love of his life Linda Faye Stone. Hughey was a very compassionate and loving father and did everything he could to provide for his family. 

Hughey enjoyed spending time outdoors. He spent most of his days sitting at the Carolina Beach Pier fishing. He always had a smile on his face and loved his chewing tobacco. He always guarded his jar of molasses and loved to sing to country music.  Hughey was a simple man and lived his life to the absolute fullest. Any opportunity he had he always loved to spend it with his family and friends.

He is survived by his two children, ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren along with many extended family members.
