AULANDER, NC - Carolyn Rawls Drew, age 73, was surrounded by her family as she passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Wake Med in Raleigh, NC.
 
Carolyn was born on November 14, 1949 to the late Colie Rawls and Margaret Tillery Rawls in Ahoskie, NC, a twin to her cherished sister, Marilyn. Carolyn was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Bertie High School, then graduated from Norfolk General Nursing School, retiring after 35 years of service. In her nursing career as well as her personal life she always put others first. After her retirement in 2007, Carolyn enjoyed gardening, watching westerns, caring for Larry and more than anything else, she loved nurturing, doting on and spoiling her grandchildren. Carolyn cherished her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
