Dolores Spivey Matthews, 83, of Albemarle Drive, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2021, at her home.

Mrs. Matthews was born on March 14, 1938 to Warren Spivey and Beatrice Eure Spivey in Hertford County, North Carolina. Dolores worked as an English teacher for many years. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie. She loved her church, reading, painting, and spending time with family. Dolores cherished her family dearly and was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
