Evelyn Sonya Jenkins was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Sonya was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.  After moving to Ahoskie with her husband, Billy, she was employed with Sears Roebuck until she retired.  She was a member of Creech Memorial Baptist Church where she served as their pianist for many years.  She enjoyed cooking, riding her golf cart, visiting the neighbors, and taking care of her Pomeranian puppies.  She just loved people and family and loved being around them.  She was a true Christian and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.  

Before moving to Ahoskie, Sonya was born and grew up in Henderson, NC.  After their marriage, she and Billy were active members at North Henderson Baptist Church.  To honor Sonya's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the North Henderson Baptist Church.
