Marion was born in Bertie County, NC, on May 9, 1037, the daughter of the late Daniel Webster and Goldie Bradley Lassiter.

Marion was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, working by her husband's side on the farm and being very involved in her children's and especially grandchildren's activities.  She loved cooking, gardening, both vegetables and flowers, and sewing.  She was a longtime faithful member of Powellsville Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities, including the choir, Women on Missions, and VBS, for over 60 years. Marion was committed to serving her fellow community members, always cooking and carrying food or care packages to the bereaved, sick, or needy.  Honor Marion's memory by donating to the American Cancer Society which has many resources that help support people with cancer and their loved ones.
