Please consider honoring the memory and life of Michael White.

Michael White, 63, of Norfolk, VA passed away May 9, 2020. Michael White was born June 11, 1956 to Herbert and Ethel White. 

Michael's pride and joy was his family, love, laughter and he always had a need to create something. When he wasn't working construction, laying bricks and creating the foundations for homes, he could be found at his home, grinning his special grin while penning poetry and drawing or running and enjoying nature. His daughter said Michael's message to the world is to laugh when you can. Michael's sense of humor is not something anyone who met him can forget - it was something that had his family laughing when they spoke of him. Mary, his daughter, laughingly recalls the time they were dancing together when she was a child. They were dancing and laughing so much that Michael accidentally popped Mary's balloon! Michael used the moment to teach his daughter the importance of keeping your spirits up even when something happens that can be demoralizing. He, of course, got her another balloon, grinning all the while. His laughter, his smile and his creative nature are deeply missed as is his ability to take any moment and make it lighter and easier to bear.

Mr. White's family is quick to laugh and love, but without their father figure their laughter is not as bright and their smiles are a little softer. They know that where Michael is, he is safe, he is loved, and he is looking down on them with that same wide grin they know and love, maybe even with an extra balloon or two. 

Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory and his wisdom, his son, Michael M. White; and his two daughters, Mone't Rose and Dahlia Rose."
