In loving Memory of Nathan Palmer

Fund Type: Family Support

Newport News, VA

Fundraiser ends on October 09, 2021

Please join in helping the palmer family in there time of need.

Nathan (Nate) D. Palmer, 45, of Newport News passed from this life into eternal life on Thursday September 2 2021. Nathan was born on March 29 1976, in Latrobe Pa, the son of John and Debra Palmer.

Nathan was a jack of many trades: he had an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science and Networking, ran his own home improvement and renovation company for many years, and was a maintenance supervisor. Nathan’s hobbies and interests included sports such as football, mixed martial arts (MMA), painting, woodworking, and carpentry. He was a devoted father who was involved in coaching several of his children’s youth sports such as football, softball, baseball, wrestling, and MMA.

He was a man of true compassion and love. He never knew a stranger and would help anyone no matter how little he had. His infectious love of life brought joy to anyone around him. Nathan’s life was never a dull moment, he brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Nathan is survived by Tara, his wife of over 22 years, his three children: Destiny (22), Drake (21), and Kyra (17), as well as many other family members and friends. Tara, Destiny, Drake, and Kyra had to say goodbye to a loving husband, amazing dad, and best friend too early. Nate fought long and hard but ultimately the good Lord had other plans.

We would like to help the family cover the costs of medical and funeral expenses as well as the loss of income from Nate's passing. Your donation will not take away the pain this precious family is feeling today but will take some of the burden off of Tara as she tries to pick up the pieces left behind. Tara shared this poem for her beloved husband and thanks you for your support.

In Loving Memory of a Very Special Husband

When God was making husbands

as far as I can see,

He made a special soulmate

especially for me.

He made a perfect gentleman,

compassionate and kind,

With more love and affection

than you could ever wish to find.
