Mrs. Bazemore was born on January 17, 1929 to Joseph Hubert Jernigan and Fannie Burkett Jernigan in Bertie County, NC. Ramona had been a devoted member of Lewiston First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She spent many years working at Humphrey's Drug Store which is where most knew her from. She was known as a sweet, kind lady that always saw the good in everyone. She was an encourager that was always positive in conversation. When Ramona married Robert, she became a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and the time she and Robert spent in Florida. Ramona was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
