MERRY HILL - Vallarie Baker Evans, age 96, of Willow Branch Road, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Evans was born on July 3, 1924 to Dwight and Eula White Baker in Colerain, NC. Vallarie spent her life taking care of her family. She loved the dearly and enjoyed times they spent together. She was a devoted member of Colerain Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and loved to talk to everyone, never meeting a stranger, and always mentioned in conversation, "90 some years old and never had a pain." She was loved by her family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the to help with unexpected cost that the family has incurred due to Mrs. Evans death.
