This fundraiser is to support the family of Kimberly Jones, who sadly passed away at a young age. The family is asking for support during this difficult time. Any money raised would be a blessing to them and a relief.

Kimberly Stubbs Jones, 45, of Rocky Point, NC, sadly passed away too soon on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Kimberly suffered many complications after initially entering the hospital with bacterial pneumonia a short time ago. Kimberly had her husband, Daniel, by her side the whole time. Sadly, she could not overcome these complications and is now at eternal rest.

Kimberly was born in Whiteville, NC on August 10, 1975, the daughter of the late George Frank Stubbs and Susan Herring Stubbs.

Kimberly attended high school in Wilmington, NC and graduated from Cape Fear Community College as a Dental Hygienist after. She worked as a Dental Assistant in Wilmington for many years. Kimberly enjoyed gardening in her spare time, cultivating beautiful flowers and vegetables. She also loved her Color by Number apps and, let’s not forget, Candy Crush (she was very proud of the high levels she reached). Kimberly loved everyone, regardless of color, creed, or preference. Her daughter’s, Romie’s, friends were always welcomed and accepted in her home and Kimberly treated them as her own.

Surviving Kimberly are her husband Daniel Jones, Jr., son John Stubbs and daughter Romie Jones of Wilmington, NC, her brothers Frankie Stubbs and James Stubbs (Billie Jo); a special cousin, who was like a sister, Bobbie Smith Honeycutt, and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Kimberly is preceded in death by her sister Brandi Stubbs. Kimberly will be dearly missed by all that were blessed to know her and her shining personality.

Kimberly passed much too young and her family is now experiencing financial hardships laying her to rest, while already in mourning over her passing. Any donation, no matter how small, would ease some of the pressure on them of taking care of Kimberly's final disposition.
