Jack Warner Memorial Fund

Jack Kenneth Tyler Warner, 25, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 18, 2022 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Jack was a Virginia Beach native and a graduate of Princess Anne High School, class of 2015.

Jack was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Dr. Kenneth Morese.  He is survived by his loving family to include parents Heather and Jerry Warner, bonus mom Michelle A. Warner, younger brother Lucas Warner; maternal grandmother Karin Morese; paternal grandparents Jack and Fortuna Warner; maternal bonus grandparents Bob and Ann Alexander; maternal aunts and uncles Robin and Art Altenbach, Kenny Morese, and Brian Morese;  maternal bonus uncles and aunts Mike and Sarah Alexander, RT and Mendy Downs; paternal aunts and uncles Eleanor and Russ Weiler, Brandon and Tuna Haywood; numerous cousins, and many loving friends.

Jack was known for his adventurous and loving spirit.  He enjoyed traveling and making memories with his family.  From playing soccer and baseball in his youth, he progressed to being a stellar wrestler and all around athlete with a 5 minute 32 second mile run – barefoot and shirtless in the cold of winter – all while maintaining Honor Roll!  He loved the ocean, the beach, skiing, skateboarding, and video games.  He celebrated his 21st birthday with a skydive.

Jack loved Jesus, prayed daily, and in his time of need.  He read the Bible, had numerous religious books, participated in Bible Study, and had so many handwritten notes full of scripture that spoke to him. Jack loved his true friends and his family, and he loved being a big brother to Lucas.  He went out of his way to make or provide meaningful and thoughtful gifts for those he loved.  He loved his dogs Snoopy and Rosy.  He loved music, singing, and playing his guitar and ukulele.  Jack gave more of himself to others and was always known for being polite, respectful, and pushing those around him to be better versions of themselves.  His friends’ and families’ lives have been forever impacted for the better.  Jack’s true friends couldn’t help but have fun, smile and laugh around him.  Jack was known for being a gentleman, and he and his true friends were known for finding comfort in each other.

For so many years Jack went through the vicious cycle of wanting to get better and fighting the relentless battle.  Drugs and some negative influences were Jack’s demons.  The struggle was just too much and no matter who thinks they are invincible, it's a lie.  Please don’t let this happen to yourself or your loved ones.  As Jack’s friend Maddie said, “If you have ever suffered mentally, you know how hard it is to fight temptation just to be at peace and hear silence in your brain.  It’s a journey and we all don’t make it through the battle.”

Jack– we all love and miss you terribly.  We so wish you could have found peace on this earth, but we have comfort in knowing you now have peace in Heaven with Jesus.

A viewing will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 at Altmeyer Funeral Home at 5033 Rouse Drive from 5pm-9pm.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:00pm at Courthouse Community United Methodist Church, 2708 Princess Anne Road, with a reception to follow.
