Growing up and living the greatest part of his life in Channahon, Kenny Baldyga was a friend to everyone that he met. Kenny was easily recognized by his smile that never seemed to ever leave his face and known for his perpetual kindness.
As a kid, Kenny greatly enjoyed the outdoors. He would spend his days playing baseball, fishing, riding dirt bikes, and hanging with friends at the Channahon State Park. As he grew older, he continued to enjoy the activities of his youth by playing softball, riding motorcycles, and trap shooting.
Known as a dog whisperer Kenny, had a knack for making friends with every dog that he encountered. Even the timidest of canines would quickly become a playful puppy around Kenny. He loved to dog-sit for his friends and everyone’s dog(s) would light up when Kenny walked into the room.
Kenny’s kindness was not limited to just his four-legged friends. Kenny’s loyalty to all his friends and his willingness to help anyone in need led to lifelong friendships that started as kids and endure to this day. Kenny found a way to find goodness in everyone and could turn even a stranger’s bad attitude around with his addictive smile and laugh.
Kenny will be missed by friends and family alike. He asked that people not mourn at the time of his passing but to celebrate a life well-lived. The world will continue but it will not be near as much fun without Kenny in it.
