To help in end of life and unexpected expenses.

Ronnie J. Rivenbark, 71, of Hampstead, NC passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 7, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Born August 12, 1948, he graduated from New Hanover High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having been deployed from 1969 to 1970. He was honorably discharged in 1972. Following the army, Ronnie’s career included the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department, Babcock & Wilcox, Corning Inc and ended with his retirement from General Electric. He had a larger than life personality, a distinctively deep voice and a booming laugh that could be heard from across a room. He was always ready with a quip or a story, he was fiercely protective of those he loved, and would always and immediately be there if someone needed him. He loved his family, hunting, fishing and John Wayne movies. This world will be a much different place with him not in it.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to help offset the costs associated with an unexpected death. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
