Help Us Honor the Life and Legacy of Samuel McIver

Dear friends and compassionate souls,

We gather here today in honor of a remarkable individual, Samuel McIver, who touched our lives with his unwavering spirit and kind-hearted nature. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing on December 15, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.

Born on October 3, 1957, in Baltimore, MD, Samuel was a man of many talents and experiences. As an owner and entrepreneur of Python Plumbing, Star Video/Family Video, and S.G. McIver Heating/AC Services, he dedicated himself to providing exceptional service to his community. Samuel's passion for his work drove him to pursue various paths, even venturing into the realm of an autopsy technician for the State of Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiners Office, Tidewater Branch during his time in Norfolk.

Yet, his true joy came from his love for restoring and remodeling old houses. With an unmatched enthusiasm, Samuel breathed new life into structures that others had long forgotten. His commitment to preserving the beauty of the past was an inspiration to all who knew him.

Samuel's memory lives on through those he held dear. Survived by his loving son Eric, as well as a grandson and great-grandson, a nephew, a niece, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends, his impact on their lives and ours is immeasurable. We must also mention his dear friend Emmanuel Watts of Norfolk, VA, who shared countless cherished moments with Samuel.

In the face of this devastating loss, we seek your help to alleviate the burden placed upon Samuel's family. The unexpected costs of funeral arrangements, combined with the loss of income, have created a financial strain during an already difficult time. By contributing to this crowdfunding campaign, you can ease the weight on their shoulders and allow them to focus on healing and remembering Samuel's remarkable life.

We kindly request your support, no matter how small, to ensure Samuel receives the farewell he deserves. Your generosity will make a lasting impact, reminding us all that even in the darkest times, our community stands united in compassion and love.

Let us come together to celebrate Samuel McIver's life, his everlasting spirit, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Together, we can honor his memory and provide comfort to those he held dear.
