William T. Congleton, Jr.
Fund Type: Family Support
Virginia Beach, VAFundraiser ends on July 20, 2022
William T. Congleton, Jr. was an incredibly loving and caring husband and was the Dad that everyone wished they had. He was such an easy going guy, a musician, a Vietnam vet, and a Redskins fan. He'd never even miss a practice let alone a game that his son Tom was in. When Tom's friends would come over after school, they could literally give requests and after strumming a few practice chords, William would be able to make his guitar sing.
Music was intertwined all throughout his life. When he was drafted, he lifted moral by playing for his fellow troops. He and his well loved guitar both made it back in one piece. In his younger years, William played his electric guitar as a member of the band "The Beach Combers" who even opened up the Beach Boys at the Peppermint Beach Club. And much to his son's dismay, William was more than happy to DJ the school dances.
Friends are asking for donations to be made to show William's wife Michelle and his son how much we are thinking about them in this time of grief and sadness. We know they need support so let's all show them how much we love them.
