The Belmont County Animal Shelter is a county run facility. It houses 50-80 dogs and 50-80 cats. We are kept open with the support and donations of the county. Our goal is to house, treat, and re-home animals in our care. We take in strays and owner surrenders. We investigate humane complaints as well as dogs running at large. In addition to confinement or humane issues we sell dog licenses which helps to also keep the shelter running.

To help reduce costs; we have a small surgery room.

Our facility has 30 indoor kennels, a receiving/puppy room, an isolation room, an open concept cat room with outdoor access, and a separate cat room for new cats. We also have 10 outdoor kennels.

Every donation counts and William believed in the mission and work of Belmont County Animal Shelter.
