Nancy K. Gordon Memorial Fund

Be Inspired & Changed for the Better

From Paul:

As many of you know, when Nancy was first diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma, her prognosis was not good.  Our son Matthew had not yet found his mate and this disturbed her greatly.  Little did we know that God had set in motion His perfect plan for Matthew that would ultimately bring much comfort and joy to Nancy and me.

Matt met a beautiful young lady from Oklahoma who had adopted three sweet pre-teen siblings who had come from very difficult circumstances. This angel rescued these children and gave them a future.  Matt fell in love with Jerusha as well as Sarah, Belle and John and they were married at our house in the summer of 2015.  Nancy and I immediately fell deeply in love with them all and all of a sudden our number of grandkids grew from five to eight.  These sweet young souls were so precious to Nancy as they quickly opened their hearts to one another and became entwined.

Nancy believed, and I agree, that God spared her long enough to fall in love and provide influence and guidance and be an example of faithful and courageous Christianity that I am certain will guide them for the rest of their lives.  The doctors gave her six months to a year to live but God had more work for her to do...the work that He created her to do.  I hope that you all get a chance to meet and love on these children that she loved so much.

As a memorial in her honor, our family decided that she would have enjoyed nothing more than to know that in death, as in life, her heart to love on children would continue.  To that end, any who are so inclined are invited to contribute to The Christian Alliance for Orphans.

If you so desire, you can direct your donation to helping children in foster care.  Our daughter in law Jerusha has worked with this group and confirms they are very effective in impacting vulnerable young lives.

Our family thanks you for your consideration in honor of our sweet and beautiful Nancy.
